Fire

Never put water on burning oil or fat – if there is a cooking fire, take the fire blanket out of the red sleeve in the kitchen and put it on top of the fire, then turn the heat off

In the event of a fire:

Shout FIRE. Get everyone out through the front door or a window if there is no access to the door. Call 999. Close doors and windows

Fire Preparation

Please make all of your guests aware of the exit routes from each room when you arrive

For safety, it’s best to keep doors closed at night to hold back fire and smoke

If any equipment develops a fault, please let John know on 07887 743522. This could include smoke and heat alarms but also any other equipment

Mains Water Stopcock

This is located in the lower kitchen cupboard directly across from the kitchen door. When the handle is pointing up the water is on. To stop the water, turn the handle clockwise a quarter turn

Gas

The gas cut-off is in a box outside on the side of the building nearest Lough’s the Bakers at street level, under the living room window

Fusebox / Consumer Unit

The Consumer Unit is in the kitchen behind the main door. If something is tripping it can be reset here

Toilet Blockages

There is a large black toilet unblocker in the cabinet in the downstairs bathroom
